Ahrefs and Audience Intel answer different questions.
Search data tools measure the market from the search engine's side: which keywords exist, who ranks for them, who links to whom, and roughly how much traffic a domain gets. That is a measurement of demand and of position.
Audience Intel measures something narrower and earlier in the decision: what a buyer who has already found you, and two or three rivals, would conclude from the pages in front of them. Five buyer types read your site and the sites of the competitors you name against the same rubric, and the report shows where each one would stall. It does not hold a keyword database, a backlink index or traffic estimates of its own.
Where Ahrefs is better: backlinks, keyword research, rank tracking and technical site audits. It crawls the web itself; Audience Intel reads the specific pages you and your named rivals publish, and nothing else.
Where Audience Intel adds something: a site audit tells you a page is technically sound; it does not tell you a cautious buyer would leave because the price is hidden or the proof is thin. That buyer's-eye judgement, set beside the same judgement of each rival, is the whole of our report.
