Google Analytics and Audience Intel
Google Analytics is Google's web analytics product (GA4). This page lists what connecting it does today and what it never touches.

Audience Intel reads Google Analytics today.
Audience Intel's own analytics leg reads Google Analytics 4 through Pipedream Connect, once you authorise it: sessions, users and engaged sessions, broken down by default channel group and by source, over the last 28 days.
That measured traffic sits beside the outside read, so a finding built from your public pages can be checked against what visitors actually did. Google Search Console is read the same way, for clicks, impressions, click-through and position.
Google Analytics can also be connected from a released Intel loop report, where the connection is listed for your named specialist.
Analytics shows what visitors actually did. It is the measured check on a read that is otherwise built from public pages.
When the own-ads audit ships.
The own-ads audit is one of the first four loops, and it is in build: it runs for nobody yet and is not on sale. When it ships, it is planned to hold the connection at workspace level rather than per report, so the measured traffic behind each run's changes could be read every time.
Through Pipedream Connect, on your say-so.
You start it
You choose to connect your analytics; nothing is connected by default.
You sign in on Pipedream's page
Pipedream Connect hosts the sign-in. We never see your password; the credential stays with Pipedream.
You can disconnect
Revoke the access from the service's own account settings at any time, and the connection stops working.
What is read from Google Analytics, and what is not.
Never read
- Your Google Analytics password: you sign in on Pipedream's page and the credential stays with Pipedream
- Anything written back: Audience Intel has no code that changes data in Google Analytics
- Individual visitors, user IDs or anything that identifies a person

Google Analytics questions
Does Audience Intel connect to Google Analytics today?
Yes. Google Analytics 4 is read through Pipedream Connect once you authorise it, for aggregate traffic by channel and source.
Do you see my password?
No. Connections run through Pipedream Connect: you sign in to each service yourself on Pipedream's hosted page, and the credential is held by Pipedream. Audience Intel holds a reference to the connected account, not the password.
Do I need an integration to get a report?
No. The free Insight Report and an Intel loop read what a buyer can see from the outside. A connection only adds your own numbers beside that read.
Can I disconnect?
Yes, at any time. Revoke the access from your Google Analytics account settings and the connection stops working.
Will Google Analytics do more when loops ship?
It is planned. The Own-ads audit loop is in build, runs for nobody yet and is not on sale or priced.
Connect nothing. Read something first.
A report needs no integration. It starts from your web address and the competitors you lose to.
