Google Ads and Audience Intel

Google Ads is Google's advertising platform for search, shopping, display and video. This page lists what connecting it does today and what it never touches.

Connect from your report

Today
  • The connection itself, listed for your specialist against your report
  • Your campaigns, search terms, spend and conversions, looked at by your specialist only to check the report's findings
Never
  • Anything written back: Audience Intel has no code that changes data in Google Ads
Drawn from what this page states. You authorise on Pipedream's page; nothing is written back to Google Ads.
Today

Connect Google Ads from a released Intel loop report.

When your Intel loop report is released, its Connect panel offers Google Ads. You sign in on Pipedream's hosted page and approve access; nothing is connected before you do.

Today the connection is listed for your named specialist, who can check the report's findings against your own numbers. No automated read of Google Ads runs inside the report, and nothing is written back to your account.

Ad accounts show what you pay to be seen. Beside a read of rivals' public ads and paid keywords, they show whether you pay for the same searches your rivals bid on.

Planned · not built

When the own-ads audit ships.

The own-ads audit is one of the first four loops, and it is in build: it runs for nobody yet and is not on sale. When it ships, it is planned to read your connected Google Ads account, read-only, on each run, and show what changed in spend and results since the last run, with the campaigns behind the change.

How connection works

Through Pipedream Connect, on your say-so.

  1. You start it

From a released report's Connect panel, you choose which account to connect.

  2. You sign in on Pipedream's page

Pipedream Connect hosts the sign-in. We never see your password; the credential stays with Pipedream.

  3. You can disconnect

Revoke the access from the service's own account settings at any time, and the connection stops working.

FAQ

Google Ads questions

Does Audience Intel connect to Google Ads today?

Yes, from a released Intel loop report. The connection is listed for your specialist; no automated read of Google Ads runs today.

Do you see my password?

No. Connections run through Pipedream Connect: you sign in to each service yourself on Pipedream's hosted page, and the credential is held by Pipedream. Audience Intel holds a reference to the connected account, not the password.

Do I need an integration to get a report?

No. The free Insight Report and an Intel loop read what a buyer can see from the outside. A connection only adds your own numbers beside that read.

Can I disconnect?

Yes, at any time. Revoke the access from your Google Ads account settings and the connection stops working.

Will Google Ads do more when loops ship?

It is planned. The Own-ads audit loop is in build, runs for nobody yet and is not on sale or priced.

Connect nothing. Read something first.

A report needs no integration. It starts from your web address and the competitors you lose to.
