How it works

Claude does the legwork. A specialist makes the calls.

  1. You name three competitors

The rivals you already watch. Every comparison is one you care about.

  2. We capture every site

Each homepage and a product page, Google PageSpeed results (mobile), detected tags, payment options and review widgets, for all four stores.

  3. Claude scores all four

Claude, by Anthropic, reads the lot and scores each store on the same rubric across the same eight categories.

  4. A specialist checks every finding

A named specialist tests each finding against the evidence, cuts anything that doesn't stand up, and decides what matters for your margins and market.

  5. We walk you through it

A call with the specialist, where you can challenge the findings, add context and ask what to do first.

A fair question

Why not just ask an AI yourself?

You could. It will sound confident, and some of what it says will help. But there are four problems.

  • It sees little

It only sees what you give it: a few pages at best. We gather the evidence on all four stores first, then Claude analyses it.

  • It guesses

Without real data it falls back on its training, which may be out of date or wrong about your brand. We work only from what you and your rivals show customers now.

  • It's inconsistent

Ask twice and you get two answers. We use the same structured prompts and scoring rubric every time, so scores stay comparable.

  • Nobody checks it

We do. A specialist reviews every finding against the evidence before you see it.

A quick prompt is a home testing kit. Full evidence, a tested method and a specialist check make it a clinical test. Only one is worth acting on.

Swap in another brand’s name. If the findings still make sense, the report has failed.

Every finding shows its evidence: the product page, the missing payment option, the review widget a rival displays and you don’t. Advice like “improve your calls to action” could apply to anyone, so it’s cut. Ours should only make sense for you.
After the website comparison

Your website is only half the story

The website comparison shows how well your site turns visitors into customers. Most of your marketing budget goes on getting those visitors there, and bringing them back. The channel comparison looks at that, against the same three rivals, in the same format: scorecard, top five quick wins, bigger opportunities and a walkthrough.

It covers eight channels, from every live ad in the public ad libraries to the emails each brand sends a seed inbox we sign up to all four.

  • Paid social
  • Paid search and Shopping
  • Organic social
  • Email and SMS
  • Reviews and reputation
  • Off-site SEO
  • Tracking and measurement
  • Marketplaces, affiliates and influencers

The channel comparison is paid. It’s priced per brand, and we quote it on the walkthrough call if it makes sense for you.

The full sequence

  1. Step 1

    Website comparison

Free. How well your site turns visitors into customers.

  2. Step 2

    Channel comparison

Paid. How well you attract the right shoppers, and bring them back.

  3. Step 3

    Account audit

Paid. Inside your own ad, analytics and email accounts, with your access.

  4. Step 4

    Ongoing work

The changes themselves, in phases, re-checked against your rivals as we go.

You’re never committed beyond the step you’re on. Each one stands on its own.

The fine print

What this is, and what it isn’t

  • Public information only. We assess what any shopper can see. We can't see your analytics, conversion rates or ad performance, or anyone else's.
  • Findings are observations, not proven causes. Anything about conversion or traffic is a hypothesis to test with you on the call.
  • No promised lift. Where we estimate the effect of a change, it is a range or a benchmark, never a promise.
  • We never click competitors' paid ads. Each click costs them money, so we use the public ad libraries and transparency tools instead.

Name your three rivals

Tell us your store and the three competitors you watch most. We do the rest, a specialist checks it, and we email you to arrange the walkthrough.

Whatever is in your address bar works: a bare domain, www., or the full https:// address.

The three competitors you watch most

Your choice, not ours. Name three if you can; the comparison works with fewer, but three gives you the full picture.

It won’t change what we find. It tells the specialist what to check first.

Free, with no obligation. We use public information only, and email you about your comparison and nothing else.
